Top 10 Mods Under $100 for Your Surron LBX
Share
Not every upgrade has to be a $500 fork. Some of the highest-impact LBX mods are under $100, and stacking 3–4 of them changes how the bike feels. Here are the ten we move most.
1. Sintered MTB Brake Pads ($18.99)
The stock pads on the LBX glaze at the first sign of heat. Sintered front+rear kit is a direct fit, bites harder cold, and lasts about 3x as long. Single biggest dollar-for-dollar safety improvement on the bike.
2. Tuttio Style Pegs with Titanium Grip Studs ($65)
Stock LBX pegs are tiny and the grip studs round off in a few rides. Anodized aluminum pegs with titanium studs are wider, grippier, and look better. Available in seven colors.
3. Headlight Kill Switch ($12–20)
If you trail ride after dark, you need to be able to kill the headlight to preserve night vision. GritShift Sleeper is the cleanest install and looks factory.
4. Aluminum Chain Guard ($39.99)
Stock plastic chain guard cracks on the first rock impact. The aluminum guard is a direct replacement and survives anything.
5. Front Wheel Spacers ($19.99)
If you've swapped wheels or hubs, the stock spacers don't always line up. The Front Wheel Spacers (set of 2) are universal-fit for the LBX hub bearings.
6. Wheel Speed Sensor Bolt (Titanium) ($15.99)
This bolt is constantly rounding out and corroding. Titanium replacement never rusts and lasts the life of the bike.
7. Aluminum Key Cover / USB Plate ($38.99)
Hides the ugly factory ignition and adds a USB charging port. The USB Plate is one of the best aesthetic-plus-function upgrades on the bike.
8. Titanium Caliper Bolts ($15.99)
Stock caliper bolts corrode. Titanium replacements last forever and look better.
9. Display Protector ($69.99)
If you've cracked your dash screen, you know. Display Protector prevents cracks and rain ingress — cheap insurance.
10. Aluminum Horn Delete Cover ($29.99)
The factory horn is loud, ugly, and useless on trails. Aluminum horn delete cover cleans up the cockpit and weighs less.
Stack them
Put 4–5 of these on the bike for ~$300 total and you've meaningfully changed how it rides and how it looks. Not a single one requires more than basic tools.
